Startup and Culture Enthusiast. People person. That’s me. I love to connect with people, to create relationships - professional and personal. And I am passionate about supporting people in recognizing and developing their full potential.
Over the last 20 years I have moved around in many different industries and worn many different hats. I haven't had what some would call a traditional corporate career. I started my first small business at the age of 18 and never even considered a corporate career. It seemed too "conventional" to me. And yet, opportunities kept coming my way, mostly in entrepreneurial and start-up situations, from very small to large global organisations in leadership positions. I love the excitement, growth, challenges and learnings that come with the start up environment. And I also learned that while the industries were vastly different, the challenges were the same:
hiring the right people for the right positions
brilliant minds with a lack of leadership experience
managing up and dealing with what has been described to me as “big egos”
having tough conversations
how to translate the founders vision into a scalable and sustainable growth
All these challenges have the potential create major stress and take the focus away from prioritizing growth and scaling, from focusing on strategy and building the highly successful, efficient and people first organizations all startup leaders dream to accomplish.
I got to experience coaching and development training as a significant element of my personal and professional development and growth. The biggest growth spurts happened when I left or got pushed out of my comfort zone, often during turbulent and not always easy times like losing a job, having to tell other they lost their job, experiencing great loss, or navigating difficult decisions.
These experiences turned out to be my journey to become the coach and trainer I wanted to be. The stops along the way provided me with valuable lessons and knowledge, connected me to incredible people, like my partners Kristin and Desiree, and reinforced my love and enthusiasm for coaching and leadership, especially in a global, rapid growth startup environment.
That is why I help Startup Leaders by focusing on what’s important with less stress by bringing out the leaders they want to be, enjoying the sense of pride building successful, people centered organizations.
Certifications & Partnerships
Kristin is originally from Munich, Germany, currently living in St. Barbara, CA.
She has held different positions in Operations and HR for all of her career and is currently the Head of HR for a Danish Startup in Southern California. Her Leadership journey began when she was 22 and in charge of over 80 Store employees at a large German retailer. Later she had a vital role in the expansion of this retailer into the US from an HR Leadership perspective. She is also a certified Business Coach.
Desiree is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, grew up between Argentina and Germany and currently lives in Viera, FL
Desiree is a Certified Professional Executive Leadership Coach and Leadership Strategist with an international client base of highly motivated professionals and organizations who are looking to reach their next level of development and success. In her business Desiree focuses on supporting aspects of leadership and career development, organizational development and change management
Desiree has a strong business background with over 15 years of global, corporate experience and has worked with Fortune 500 corporations as well as small to mid-sized companies. She speaks fluent English, Spanish and German, and is versed in French and Italian.
